Happy Holidays....A Day Late

So, I am a day late and a Linden short...sue me...LOL. I trust that everyone had a safe and wonderous holiday. WOW it's already December 26th! Where did the time go? Well, I can tell you that mine went in a whirlwind of daily freebie presents. It seems like yesterday was December 1st and a few designers were in full Christmas spirit with the daily gifts...by day two and three our lists had grown to at least 20. If not a daily then a weekly gift was given and designers were not in grinch mode at all....their gifts were just as rich, beautiful, and tasteful as anything they sell in their stores. So, in no particular order, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart (and designer inventory) because without you, we would be standing around still looking like newbs in dire need of a makeover. Thank you for help us stay beautiful....and if I forget anyone, I apologize in advance (just IM me inworld and I will add you to the list...LOL). Thank you goes out to: (Angels) for all of her beautiful shoes, Talisman for all of her beautiful clothes and jewelry (and my special bangles too), Ivalde for 25 days of stunning clothes, Second Mirage Jewelry for show stopping jewels (I missed day 18 due to SL shut down...but I still got the rest), Solange for breathtaking silks, jewels, lingerie, and clothes, DDD for their clothes, jewels, silks, inks, and furniture, CMD for a great Xcite bed, Christmas Boutique for their wonderful holiday decor, TaP for a great skin hunt (the lag was worth it), SSUS (She's So Unusual) for the fabulous shoes (hope you did not miss out on that hunt), Fae Designs for her prim jewelry(I am in love with the hoops), Ingenue for your weekly vintage Christmas outfits, WRONG for the awesome clothes, gun and coal, Reaction Girl for all of your awesome designs, glasses, coal and OH YES the nice set of boxes(those actually came in handy...people were upset they did not get a gift that day but that set of boxes was a real gift to me since I gave so many presents away), Bewitched for all of the great hair (as always), Calla for the awesome hair hunt and fatpacks, Bossa Nova for their lovely gowns, Savvy Avvy for their totally wicked prim clothes, shoes, bags and oh yes that awesome purple coat. Right now my brain is mush...so if I forgot anyone please accept my humble apologies...it is not for the lack of appreciation for you...it is the lack of sleep over the last few days...and I will do my utmost to correct it.

I would also like to take this time to thank the 3 best girls I could possibly know in SL Chica Indigo, Daniella Pastorelli, and Jentra Slade...Thanks girls for giving me some of the best times I have had in SL...I look forward to sharing 2008 with all of you and seeing what we can accomplish next! You all know what you mean to me, so I don't have to say it again...LOL

Last, but certainly not least, I would like to thank Rainer for always being there for me and always knowing what to say to make me laugh...I throughly love and respect you for the man that you are and the good friend you have become....I cannot wait to see where the journey of SL leads us....wherever you go, you know that I will follow.

The first ever BAND SYNC Competition!!!

BAND SYNC COMPETITION

Band Sync is a sponsored air band competition that is offering the winner an awesome cash prize. The Sponsors are fronting $25,000L to the best act in the competition.

So how do you enter? Contact Marcy Palmer, Charliene Clary, Adam Spark, Marty Maloney or Johnnie Hesse for eligibility and rules notecard for directions on how to enter, and then use your imagination!!! The event will have a judging panel made up of members from our sponsoring groups. Design your look, buy your instruments (we will supply the drum kit) and choreograph your dances. Acts will be marked on their costume, song and dance choices, overall performance, effort and appeal. There are so many bands or groups to emulate; the Supremes, AC/DC, or the Red Hot Chili Peppers just to name a few!

Acts will perform over the first two nights of competition, Jan 3rd, 4th & 5th. The judges will select the best and they will move on to the final night, Jan 5th (the number of acts in the finals will be based on the total number of acts entered). If an act makes it to the finals , they are permitted to prepare an alternate song performance if they wish, or they may do the same performance they did on the previous night. Any questions with regards to any of the above information should be directed to Adam Spark, Marty Maloney or Johnnie Hesse.

Band Sync Eligibility Rules:

To be eligible to enter the Band Sync Contest, the following criteria must be met:

* Each act must have a minimum of 3 members.

* No professional performers are permitted to enter. The competition is intended for amateur performances only.

* Each act must submit a note card no later than Dec 27th by 6pm SL time. There are a limited number of spaces and we reserve the right to reject applications after that number has been met. In addition, acts that submit their info early will be given preference for rehearsal times, which will be posted at a later date.

* The note card must contain the following data:

* The name of your act

* Name of avatar members involved in the act

* Song choice (title, artist & version if applicable)

* You will also need to submit a 50L entrance fee with your note card.

* Submit note card and fee to Adam Spark.

Details and criteria are subject to change and are at the sole discretion of the event sponsors. Changes will be posted by the Dec 27th deadline.

OK, so I have been tagged by my loving SL sister Chica (thanks alot...you know I am sick...LOL). She lovingly tells me I have to post and follow the rules....however since I am new to this SL blogging, I have no one to tag except back to Chica, so the madness stops here...LOL.

Answer 1- I never really wanted much as a kid. We were very poor when I was growing up due to an accident my father suffered when I was about 8. However I always wanted lots of Barbies and Barbie stuff...which probably explains my fascination with SL...I am my own personal barbie...and probably why all of my girls in RL have tons of Barbies/Barbie stuff (No Bratz simply because they look like little hookers LOL)


Question 2 – What is the one thing you wish for this Christmas (for yourself)?

Answer 2- The ability to sleep later than 6:30....the only way that happens is if I am sick as a dog and on medication....Seriously I have 3 kids at home, so there is no such thing as sleeping in!



Question 3 – What would you wish for, if the sky was the limit, and nothing was impossible?

Answer 3- I know this is going to sound cornballish, but I would wish that everyone would be able to lie down at night and not have a worry in the world. Stress is the number one cause of most problems with people today, and of course world peace!

A Little Lady Is Born

Well a good friend of mine has been after me to start
